As a Quality Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the PPAP Technician to ensure all deliverables are met. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist the PPAP Technician in delivering PPAP's according to AIAG and/or customer requirements:
o Maintain and review data against specifications,
o Validate Material Certificates from Suppliers,
o Assist in creating work instructions as needed,
o Update documents in PLEX ERP,
o Manage master samples,
o Retrieve, weigh, and photograph samples,
o Perform other tasks assigned by Quality Management.

Qualifications - Internal

Required (Basic)

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical data sheets, and schematics,
  • Knowledge of Quality and Metrology,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and PDF reader (Word, Excel, Adobe/Firefox, Outlook, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to operate and test basic inspection gauges (caliper, pin gauge, height gauge, etc.),
  • Degree in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering, equivalent technical degree, or relevant experience in a manufacturing environment,
  • Experience in developing and implementing Quality processes, including assembly, test procedures, and inspection plans (preferred),
  • Background in the Automotive Industry (preferred).

Position Criteria

  • Troubleshoot metrology and process issues to enhance efficiency and recommend solutions,
  • Support root cause analysis processes,
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Tool Room, and Production to ensure compliance with specifications and customer PPAP submissions,
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills (English and Spanish proficiency preferred),
  • Strong problem-solving abilities,
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs,
  • Hearing protection mandatory in designated areas,
  • Safety glasses and steel-toed boots are a must,
  • Adherence to all safety protocols.
