Production Assembly Technician

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Production Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly and testing of battery cabinets, telecommunications, and various electrical devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and protocols to ensure the manufacturing of high-quality products.
  • Follow quality assurance procedures involving calibrated tools, maintenance tools, and the handling of defective materials.
  • Utilize calibrated tools to accurately torque components as specified.
  • Record meter readings, including voltage, to maintain compliance with established standards.
  • Produce work efficiently and safely while adhering to all quality requirements.
  • Complete assemblies within the designated lead time.
  • Conduct visual inspections of materials before and after assembly, including capturing video and photographic evidence.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with housekeeping standards.
  • Foster cooperative relationships with colleagues to promote a collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure WIP areas are adequately stocked with necessary inventory.
  • Provide training to peers and offer constructive feedback to management regarding improvements, defective equipment, and safety issues.

Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with hand tools, multi-meters, and power tools.
  • Understanding of basic safety regulations.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and attitude.
  • Adapt readily to changes in tasks and responsibilities.
  • Comprehend how individual contributions align with customer needs.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing is advantageous.

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Work Environment:

Working Conditions:

Primary – Factory Environment: Exposure to noise, heavy machinery, and electrical testing equipment.

Secondary – Warehouse Environment: Interaction with forklifts, manual material handling equipment, dust, and heavy lifting.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed, along with light bending and reaching.

Compensation: $18.00/hr
