AFW is looking for a Building Maintenance Manager will coach and manage the day to day upkeep of the facility and grounds.

This individual will ensure repairs such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, framing, rack/upright repair, painting, minor welding, minor mechanical repair, drywall installation, and removal, are performed correctly and in a safe and efficient manner.

The Building Maintenance Manager will also assist with scheduling employees for snow removal (CO stores only) and delegate employees to assist with janitorial, grounds keeping and any other maintenance needs when necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Coordinate and work effectively with multiple departments to continuously improve processes, maximize efficiency and exceed customer service expectations.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to perform minor HVAC and electrical repairs (Arizona Only).
  • Clean MVR record with no more than three moving violations within the past three years and no DUI's within the past 5 years.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies including but not limited to ipads, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Ability to be trained on the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to be trained on Lock Out Tag Out (L.O.T.O) procedures and the ability to perform Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
  • Ability to work 0 to 35 feet above the ground.
  • Have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Communicates, leads, and develops teamwork with the Building Maintenance Department.
  • Ensure the correct paperwork/forms are filled out correctly.
  • Working knowledge of overall building repairs.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to be sure the physical condition of building and grounds does not deteriorate.
  • Troubleshoot minor maintenance problems involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.
  • Clean and maintain the equipment and work area.
  • Operate snow removal equipment during the winter (For Colorado Stores) to keep all of the walkways and building entrances cleared and safe.
  • Collaborate with the AFW management team to make sure the grounds and the building are always properly cared and cleaned up to AFW standards.
  • Report all building issues and potential liabilities along with recommendations for solving such issues to the AFW management team.
Physical Requirements

  • Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas.
  • Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily.
  • Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
  • Requires lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of equipment, angle iron, etc. up to 100 lbs. frequently.
  • The Building Maintenance Manager requires lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping and moving equipment 8 hours or more daily.
Physical Work Environment

  • Fluorescent Lighting.
  • Concrete Flooring.
  • Climate effected by outside conditions including but not limited too extreme heat/cold.
  • Considerable exterior noise.
  • Extreme temperature fluctuations in the warehouse.
Pay Grade D $19.72-$36.63
