  • Survey and assess old Public Address (PA) and PBX/Telephone systems
  • Repair malfunctioning equipment discovered during surveys
  • Remove outdated PA systems, replace with temporary setups, and ensure compatibility with PBX/Telephone systems
  • Coordinate the installation of new PA systems, including programming and testing
  • Install and program temporary passing bells and wire new PA systems
  • Integrate new PA systems with existing Voice Over IP (VOIP) system
  • Facilitate cleanup and removal of temporary PA systems
  • Decommission old PBX/Telephone systems, PBX phones, and Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS)
  • Plan, analyze, and manage site equipment requirements
  • Work closely with Project Managers to prioritize projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized college or university
  • OR Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with the option to substitute four years of experience for a formal degree
  • OR Completion of a recognized low voltage apprenticeship program
  • At least 6 years of full-time professional experience in a similar role
  • Experience collaborating with on-site construction teams, campus administrators, faculty, and staff

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BICSI Technician Certification (TECH)
  • Cisco Certified Technician (CCT)
  • Certified Valcom PA Installer
