Position Overview:

MelroseINC is seeking a dedicated Wiring Integrations Technician to facilitate connections for our clients to their remote desktops and workstations.

In this role, you will be tasked with the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of low voltage electrical systems, internet networks, and both digital and traditional telephone lines in various settings, including residential and commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct operational tests on newly installed cabling, telephone, and fiber-optic systems.
  • Perform maintenance on existing cable systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair technology system infrastructure.
  • Install data and voice cables for both residential and business clients.
  • Install cabled devices and upgrade existing technology and internet systems.
  • Carry out system maintenance as required.

This position requires a solid understanding of low voltage systems, applicable regulations, and industry best practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Positive and engaging personality.
  • Professional demeanor with exceptional customer service skills.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience with proper pulling techniques for various types of cabling.
  • Experience in AV, Networking, or Technology Integration.
  • Ability to interpret and work from project drawings effectively.
  • Proficient in the installation of racking systems and cable management in network closets.
  • Familiarity with low voltage system blueprints and symbols.
  • Understanding of current standards for cable pathways.
  • Proven skills in UTP cabling installation practices.
  • Experience with terminating connections on various network and AV cables.
  • Knowledge of AV cabling terminations and security cabling techniques.
  • Strong grasp of mounting procedures and raceway construction.
  • Experience in system integration.
  • Comfortable working from ladders, man lifts, or reach booms.

Required Abilities and Skills:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with basic low-voltage or electrical systems.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform various physical tasks.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
