Position Overview:

MelroseINC is seeking a dedicated Wiring Integrations Technician to facilitate connections for our clients to their remote desktops and workstations.

In this role, you will take charge of the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of low voltage electrical systems, office internet networks, and both digital and traditional telephone lines in various settings, all under supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct operational tests on newly installed cable, telephone, and fiber-optic systems.
  • Perform maintenance on existing cable systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair technology system infrastructure.
  • Install data and voice cables for both residential and commercial clients.
  • Set up cabled devices and upgrade existing technology and internet systems.
  • Carry out routine system maintenance.

This position requires a solid understanding of low voltage systems, applicable regulations, and industry best practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Possess a positive and engaging personality.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience with proper techniques for pulling various types of cables, including category cable, coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, and high pair count copper backbone cabling.
  • Experience in AV, Networking, or Technology Integration.
  • Ability to interpret and work from project drawings effectively.
  • Proficient in the installation of racking systems, cable termination, and organization in network closets.
  • Familiarity with low voltage system blueprints and symbols.
  • Knowledge of current standards for cable pathways.
  • Demonstrated expertise in UTP cabling installation practices.
  • Experience with terminating connections on various network and AV-related cables using an array of tools.
  • Understanding of AV cabling terminations and security cabling techniques.
  • Strong grasp of proper attachment hardware, mounting procedures, and raceway construction.
  • Experience in system integration.
  • Comfortable working from ladders, man lifts, or reach booms.

Required Abilities and Skills:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Basic experience with low-voltage or electrical systems.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform various physical tasks.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and background check.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
