With over 40 years serving the Cambridge area, Pemberton Farms provides a full-scale grocery, cheese, beer, wine and liquor department, as well as a full-scale greenhouse.

If you have a passion for the culinary arts, past experience in the food industry and interest in food and drink pairings, this is the right position for you

  • Your primary responsibilities will be to stock, cut, present and price cheese and charcuterie products. You also will need to prepare charcuterie boards and cheese boards for catering and inhouse sales.
  • You will also receive deliveries, maintain the backstock cooler. You may be asked to help with special events for the store and the cheese department.

Requirements:

Previous experience merchandising and selling cheese.

If you have little experience professionally but have a genuine love for cheese and specialty food, you may still qualify.

Deli, restaurant and/or food service background is helpful.

A work history rich in successful customer service experience is essential.


You must be able to follow and comply with established procedures, including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices, including operation and sanitation of all equipment essential to your department.

You must be comfortable using electric slicers.

This position is part-time. Evenings and weekends a must.
