Job Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Project Manager will report directly to the Master Scheduler. This role is responsible for Managing, Tracking, and reporting on NPE (New Product Extension) NPD (New Product Development), Aftermarket Upgrades, Change Orders, and other projects to internal Teams and Customers from Sales to Shipping. Create, monitor, manage schedules, and milestones to assure they are on track and meeting all customer expectations. Serve as focal point between Operations, Sales, AM and the end Customer.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Carry out planning and coordination of non-standard production of projects from Engineering design through Quality Inspection.
  • Analyze, maintain, and drive production plan to ensure meeting customer requirements and project schedules.
  • Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, operations, engineering, and warehouse.
  • Responsible for aspects of the project's life cycle. Planning, Scope definition, scheduling, execution, and delivery.
  • Create customer change orders as necessary.
  • Provide regular project updates to the customer and Sales team as necessary.
  • Monitor and ensure that internal resources are meeting the schedule milestones consistently and escalate issues to functional leadership as required.
  • Follow standard project management lifecycle principles: Initiating, Planning, Executing and Closing
  • Build customer rapport / relationships by understanding their needs and requirements.
  • Maintain consistent communication with Internal and external Teams.
  • Work with Quality Assurance on Customer Complaints
  • Other duties assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Requirements):
  • 3 years of Project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • PMP certification a plus but not required.
  • Excel and PowerPoint knowledge/experience required.
  • Must have strong analytical, trouble-shooting and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Must be self-directed, team-oriented, and able to evaluate and effectively handle multiple priorities.
  • Must be willing to effectively and diplomatically hold internal resources accountable for their schedule commitments.
  • Must be able to lead individuals/functions without direct reporting authority
