The Technical Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that all assigned projects adhere to the required standards of budget, timeline, materials, and scope. They must develop comprehensive project plans that meet technological needs and align with corporate goals. Technical Project Managers are expected to be highly technical, have a thorough understanding of the project work, and coordinate team managers and technical personnel throughout all stages of the project. Technical Project Managers are expected to review and implement workflow and scoping improvements in support of continuous improvement and successful project execution.

What you will do to contribute to the company's success
  • Direct activities of the project team's execution with a focus on efficiency, quality, and visibility.
  • Create and manage leadership visibility aspects of projects such as reporting on budget revisions and project timelines.
  • Coordinate project material availability, consumption, and reporting.
  • Review new and existing processes for improvement opportunities.
  • Anticipate and review resource constraints and demands associated with project execution.
  • Serve as point of escalation for all project prioritization and issues.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S. or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school) in fields such as Engineering or Technology and five years of related experience.
  • Equivalent experience can substitute for education.
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Background in telecommunications technical project management and engineering preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
