Job Summary: Operating various types of power construction equipment for road and bridge construction, repair, and maintenance.

Job Description: All candidates must pass drug and alcohol tests before starting safety-sensitive job functions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Operating heavy construction equipment and trucks
  • Performing preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Performing labor duties as needed

Additional Job Description: Skills in safely operating heavy construction equipment, knowledge of equipment operations, and ability to perform heavy manual labor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduation and at least three years of experience in heavy equipment operation in highway and bridge maintenance or construction.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write, and speak effectively.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic math calculations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Oklahoma Class B Commercial Driver's License

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Exposure to various work environments including moving parts and outside conditions.
