Position Summary:

Build, palletize and complete customer orders in an accurate and timely manner based on customer requirements and delivery expectations by operating all equipment in a safe and consistent manner adhering to rules and guidelines established by OSHA and the company.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Effectively process LTL (less than truckload) and Truckload orders in accordance with up-to-date unique customer requirements when placing product on a pallet. This may include requirements such as; no overhang, keeping same items together, ensuring all tiers are marked with number of cases per tier, guaranteeing case count is correct for each item and items are on the correct pallet when more than one pallet is required.
  • Accurately identify pallets with required information such as; SO#, carrier, destination and total piece by pallet.
  • Stage completed orders to prepare for shipment in designated areas. Update orders and print shipping documents using IBM i system.
  • Assist with picking and packing full and split case orders using established guidelines and procedures.
  • Assist with rework and repackaging of damaged or discontinued product.
  • Assist and serve as a backup for receiving and storing foreign and domestic product.
  • Keep work area organized and clean.
  • Sustain 5S lean guidelines and procedures. Recommend Lean process changes and improvements.
Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma plus up to 4 years of Warehouse experience. Certification in forklift operation required.

Skills Required:

Speak and comprehend direction and feedback as articulated in English. Basic math and computer skills. Perform work independently, accurately, and thoroughly. Able to adapt and react to changes in work priorities. Use of scan gun device. Safely operate material-moving equipment.
