Job Responsibilities:
  • Meet with medical students to create proactive academic success plans.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Learning Support and assist in various duties.

  • Oversee the Learning Support Student Advisory Council and administer the Peer Tutoring program.
  • Design and deliver workshops to enhance student academics and wellness programming.
  • Administer learning assessment tools, support academic achievement, and participate in student activities.
  • Maintain accurate records, attend workshops, and stay updated on academic support literature.
  • Support faculty development and assist with program and report preparation.
Required Qualifications:
  • BA, BS, or BSW in relevant fields.
  • 2-3 years of academic advising experience.
  • Experience with high-stakes exams and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent written communication skills and a commitment to diversity and collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MA, MS, MSW, or MEd in related fields.
  • Experience working with students needing academic support.
  • Knowledge of academic accommodations and USMLE exams.
  • Understanding of learning science and educational psychology.
Additional Details:
This role is diverse and may involve assisting with other duties as assigned. Working hours are typically 8AM to 5PM with flexibility for evenings or weekends based on department needs.
