Job Summary

The Intern Pharmacist, reporting to the Pharmacy Clinical Manager and under the supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist, assists in the non-discretionary tasks of preparing and dispensing medications.

Pay Range

Minimum $24.00 Midpoint $24.00 Maximum $25.00

Experience

Required: Currentenrollmentin the first year of a 4-yearACPEaccreditedschoolofpharmacy.

Preferred: Priorhospital orretailpharmacy technician experience.

Education

Required: Currentenrollmentata 4-year ACPEaccreditedCollegeofPharmacy. Due to the structure of our training, we can only accept first year students in good academic standing.

Preferred: Associate degree in Pharmacy Technology.

Training

Required: Completion of one (1) year pharmacy education.

Specialized Skills

Required: Ability to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing and on the telephone. Ability to think critically; work independently; manage multiple assignments; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; perform pharmaceutical calculations. Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively and professionally with others. Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred: Knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding and Automated Dispensing Cabinets.

Licensure

Required: Intern Pharmacist - CA Board of Pharmacy.

Work Environments - Functional Demand:
