Position Overview
The Intern Pharmacist, under the guidance of the Pharmacy Clinical Manager and a Licensed Pharmacist, assists with essential tasks related to the preparation and distribution of medications.Compensation
Minimum $24.00 Midpoint $24.00 Maximum $25.00Required Qualifications
Required: Enrollment in the first year of a 4-year ACPE accredited pharmacy program.
Preferred: Previous experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital or retail setting.
Educational Background
Required: Enrollment in a 4-year ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy. Due to our training structure, we can only accept first-year students in good academic standing.
Preferred: Associate degree in Pharmacy Technology.
Training Requirements
Required: Completion of one (1) year of pharmacy education.
Essential Skills
Required: Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to think critically, work independently, manage multiple tasks, and perform well under pressure. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are essential.
Preferred: Familiarity with pharmaceutical compounding and Automated Dispensing Cabinets.
Licensure Requirements
Required: Intern Pharmacist - CA Board of Pharmacy.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Medium - High energy level. Ability to lift and carry 40-50 lbs.Physical Activity Requirements:
Bending, carrying objects, climbing, repetitive keyboard use, fine motor activities, pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, and walking.Sensory Requirements:
Color discrimination, depth perception, hearing, and vision.Environmental Considerations:
