Job Summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacist Intern to join our team. As a Pharmacist Intern, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records.

Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications
  • Maintain the drug inventory and patient records
  • Work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist to perform operational support functions such as billing, crediting, controlled substance processing, inventory control, and training
  • Perform distributional support functions including electronic profiling, timely and accurate labeling, and preparation of products in compliance with policies and procedures
  • Assume the duties of a pharmacist under the direct supervision of a pharmacist when appropriately trained
Qualifications
  • Current California Board of Pharmacy Intern License
  • Currently enrolled in a School of Pharmacy with the expectation of graduating as a Pharmacist or BS in Pharmacy with application submitted for CA pharmacist license
  • Knowledge of Federal and State laws, regulations, and standards regarding the provision of pharmaceutical services
  • Ability to extract pertinent information from the patient or other sources and relate it to the patient's medical management plan
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
