Job Summary

  • This role will serve as the Product Owner for U.S. Payroll, which is moving from PeopleSoft to Workday.
  • Will partner closely with Workday and the System Implementor, to plan and execute this critical function for 28,000+ employees, to mitigate all risks and ensure a successful transition with no business or employee impact.
  • Will streamline payroll processes in the Americas, implement best practices, improve standardization, as well as serve as the functional owner of the U.S. timekeeping platform UKG Dimensions, for this integration also.
  • This critical role will provide expertise and support for US payroll design decisions, focusing on shared service operations, transactional efficiency, and employee experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead US payroll transformation efforts, improving efficiency, accuracy, standardization, and employee experience.
  • Identify and implement best practices to optimize the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Collaborate on enterprise project impacting payroll, providing expertise and guidance.
  • Serve as functional owner of the UKG Dimensions platform for the U.S., ensuring it's effective use and optimization for payroll operations in a Workday environment.
  • Provide guidance on payroll design decisions, focusing on shared service operations and transactional efficiencies
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with laws, regulations, and internal policies; support audits as needed.
  • Manage vendor relationships to deliver payroll services and technology solutions - working directly with ADP on all outsourced administration of taxes and other components
  • All of the above apply to leading this effort for payroll operations, payroll tax, certified payroll, and union payroll.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in leading payroll operations, payroll transformation, or related role, preferably in a multi-state organization.
  • Strong knowledge of US payroll laws, regulations, and best practices, with a focus on shared service operations.
  • Experience with payroll and time & attendance technology platforms - including PeopleSoft, Workday and UKG Dimensions; and proven ability to leverage technology for process improvement and automation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is highly desirable.

  • Expertise in payroll systems and technologies, with the ability to manage and optimize payroll platforms.
  • Proven experience in process improvement and streamlining payroll operations to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve payroll issues effectively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy to ensure payroll data integrity.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive payroll information with professionalism and integrity.
The base salary for this position is $140,000 to $195,000.

Additional Compensation: Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.
