Your Responsibilities:
The Vice President of Strategic Initiatives will serve as a pivotal expert in guiding growth, establishing a cohesive strategy, and emphasizing key strategic projects. This role will also support product innovation and facilitate business development and mergers and acquisitions across the organization.
Based at our headquarters, the Vice President will report directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, overseeing enterprise-wide responsibilities.
This leader will engage in the comprehensive strategic planning process, analyzing economic factors, benchmarking, portfolio assessments, and competitive landscape evaluations.
They will mentor strategic business units to cultivate a results-driven culture aligned with long-term strategic goals.
They will consistently seek to introduce innovative ideas that challenge conventional thinking and promote a culture of curiosity and external awareness.
Collaborate with the Enterprise Leadership team to support the strategic planning process and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
Assist strategic business units in defining and refining their business strategies, focusing on the implementation of new ideas and processes to drive growth and assess outcomes.
Conduct ongoing market evaluations to identify and prioritize strategic alternatives and initiatives aimed at enhancing growth and shareholder value.
Maintain an outward-looking perspective, particularly regarding global economic trends, market dynamics, and potential adjacent opportunities for business expansion.
Develop and refine strategic and analytical processes and tools.
Construct analytical models and perform market and financial analyses to accurately assess opportunities and present well-founded recommendations to the Enterprise Leadership team.
Foster collaborative and trusting relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure open communication and idea exchange.
This leader will work across the organization, necessitating situational leadership and influence at various levels.
Develop talent and capabilities in business strategy throughout the organization and act as a steward for strategic talent.
Oversee the planning, assessment, and execution of significant business partnerships as appropriate. Identify emerging markets and opportunities, collaborating with profit and loss leaders to devise market entry strategies.
Your Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative executive who brings innovative thinking to invigorate strategy and business development at Trane Technologies.
This individual will possess a balanced leadership style with substantial experience in corporate strategy and business development.
Comfort in a collaborative business environment and experience in developing emerging markets globally are essential.
Key Qualifications Include:
Eight to fifteen years of post-graduate experience in strategic planning, competitive intelligence, market research, corporate development, international business management, or consulting.
Strong business acumen, sound judgment, and a comprehensive understanding of operational dynamics are critical. Proven ability to analyze complex problems and make informed recommendations.
Demonstrated success in driving growth initiatives and identifying future business opportunities with strategic responses.
Ability to analyze financial documents and business plans, making informed decisions based on thorough research and due diligence.
Flexibility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
