The Vice President of Amplify RCM Operations plays a pivotal role in advancing Amplify's revenue cycle management (RCM) service line.
This dynamic executive is tasked with developing and implementing RCM strategies to ensure operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with the organization's present and future needs.
The VP of Operations is instrumental in enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Amplify's services, promoting financial gains, and improving hospital performance through the adoption of revenue cycle best practices and optimized vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Execution:
Translate strategies into clear objectives for the Amplify Team, ensuring consistent service delivery outcomes.
RCM Expertise:
Collaborate with leadership and execute RCM strategies that align with Amplify's business goals while providing guidance on projects, clients, and staff.
Performance Metrics:
Develop, implement, and manage metrics and service level standards to measure and enhance Amplify's performance.
Collaboration:
Partner with leadership, operations managers, and support functions to streamline Amplify's operations.
Data Analysis:
Regularly analyze operational data to identify issues and prioritize areas of focus.
Continuous Improvement:
Enhance quality, service levels, client and employee satisfaction, and internal capabilities to deliver improvements.
Data Insights:
Share meaningful insights and trends from operational data analysis through periodic performance reports.
Efficiency and Cost Management:
Drive efficiency in capacity planning and FTE cost management by implementing operations-related policies and practice standards.
Team Competence:
Ensure that teams handling accounts possess operational knowledge and collaborate with team leaders and the training department to maintain competence levels.
Performance Management:
Manage performance conversations and work communications with direct reports.
Stakeholder Interface:
Act as the primary company interface with revenue cycle leaders and team members to facilitate the adoption of revenue cycle initiatives.
KPI Proficiency:
Demonstrate proficiency in revenue cycle key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and benchmarking tools.
People Leadership:
Exhibit strong people leadership skills, emphasizing performance metrics, clear communication, and talent development.
Presentation Skills:
Possess outstanding presentation skills and humility to allow revenue cycle leaders to receive credit for achievements and gains.
Strategic Guidance:
Provide strategic guidance, administrative oversight, and balance short-term and long-term perspectives.
Performance Measures:
Develop performance measures and standards for revenue cycle services and link long-range visions to daily work.
Value Proposition:
Present the value proposition of revenue cycle programs and services to senior executives within organizations.
Communication:
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication to ensure transparent understanding of progress toward KPIs.
Reporting:
Regularly provide leadership with revenue cycle business development status, reports, metrics, and presentations.
Talent Development:
Provide guidance on attracting and developing key team members and recognizing rising talent.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure Amplify Operations complies with regulatory and compliance regulations.
Mentoring and Support:
Offer mentoring and support to leaders and staff within Amplify.
Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 10 years of progressive operations leadership experience, including direct revenue cycle leadership within an acute care hospital setting and front-end operations and revenue cycle management.
Innovative Thinking:
Demonstrated ability to work in an environment that requires innovative thinking and rapid cycle turnaround.
Remote Leadership:
Ability to work remotely and lead diverse teams.
Industry Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry trends, including current regulatory, market, and customer trends.
Policy Awareness:
Knowledgeable in current and potential future policies, trends, and information affecting healthcare revenue cycle.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Travel:
Ability to travel as needed, both domestically and internationally.
