What You'll Do

You will be an essential member of our expanding research team at Aeroseal. You will work both individually and as a team member to acquire scientific evidence to further our high-pace research agenda.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

+ Perform simulations and analysis using available engineering tools at Aeroseal

+ Help develop and expand the engineering tools as needed

+ Help design physical validation experiments

+ Test-rig build, experiment setup, data acquisition, sanity check, data analysis, reporting

Key characteristics & traits:

+ Strong engineering & research mindset

+ Ability to multitask

+ Strong verbal & written communication

Must-haves:

+ Motivated research engineer with strong understanding of fluid mechanics

+ MSc or PhD in mechanical engineering, physics or another related field

+ 5-10 years of work experience in a research position

+ Strong analytical skills & modeling background

+ Hands-on experience in experimental measurements (design, execution, analysis)

+ Fully fluent with MS Office

Desired:

+ Understanding of sprays & nozzles, particle size analysis

+ Understanding of HVAC systems

+ In-depth understanding of computational fluid dynamics (CFD)

+ Prior use of commercial CFD codes in industrial applications

+ Creativity & thinking outside the box (while staying focused on defined goals)
