Job Purpose:

The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for accurately and timely completing all required new hire tasks. This role is available as a part-time or full-time position. This will be a hybrid position with evening hours.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no direct reports

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the orientation process of new hires, including; Brief explanation of benefit programs; Explanation of pay dates and processing; Explanation of paidtimeoff policy; Explanation of the company mission, vision, and values; Initial safety training appropriate to the person's role.
  • Ensures communication with the hiring manager is timely and appropriate; Ensures hiring manager is informed of initial engagement with new hire; Provides status updates and instructed.
  • Ensures hiring manager is informed of onboarding completion.

Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to explain tasks and explain concepts
  • Skill with Microsoft Office and HR systems software

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years experience with HR systems and processes
  • 1+ years working in a servicerelated position

Work Environment:

  • This position is located in an office environment and may allow for hybrid remote work

Required education and experience:

  • There is no required education or experience

  • High school education or equivalent
