Main Responsibilities:
- Perform various clerical duties in a professional manner
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule surgical/non-surgical procedures accurately and in a timely manner
- Support patient scheduling systems and patient information management
- Communicate schedule updates promptly to relevant parties
- Complete registration processes accurately and ensure revenue enhancement
- Obtain necessary treatment authorizations and insurance verifications
- Coordinate phone communications and transfer calls to appropriate personnel
- Support operational office functions such as front desk coverage and answering phones
- Assist with patient registration, insurance information, and service consent
- Ensure compliance with patient privacy regulations and laws
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Minimum one year experience in customer service, preferably in a medical practice
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Computer fluency and literacy
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Organizational and prioritization skills
Preferred:
- Patient Access Service Representative experience
- ASC experience
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Visual and auditory acuity for computer and telephone use
- Work in a well-lit, ventilated, and safe environment
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and occasional chemical hazards
