Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform various clerical duties in a professional manner

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule surgical/non-surgical procedures accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support patient scheduling systems and patient information management
  • Communicate schedule updates promptly to relevant parties
  • Complete registration processes accurately and ensure revenue enhancement
  • Obtain necessary treatment authorizations and insurance verifications
  • Coordinate phone communications and transfer calls to appropriate personnel
  • Support operational office functions such as front desk coverage and answering phones
  • Assist with patient registration, insurance information, and service consent
  • Ensure compliance with patient privacy regulations and laws
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Minimum one year experience in customer service, preferably in a medical practice
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Computer fluency and literacy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Organizational and prioritization skills

Preferred:

  • Patient Access Service Representative experience
  • ASC experience

Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Visual and auditory acuity for computer and telephone use
  • Work in a well-lit, ventilated, and safe environment
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and occasional chemical hazards
