**Job Summary**

Battelles National Security Division is seeking an Inventory Technician for full-time work in Albany, Georgia supporting Marine Corps Logistics Command and Battelle personnel. The personnel will support the inventory accountability of communication equipment and secondary repairable assets in support of Supply Management Activity Group (SMAG).

The successful candidate will support the government and contractor team. Tasks assigned will include, but are not limited to, accountability, asset identification, warehousing, transacting in Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) and Enterprise Management System (EMS) to ensure 100% accountability of SMAG items in compliance with Marine Corps and Marine Corps Logistics Commands orders and directives. The successful candidate will benefit from a military background and must be a self-starter.

**Responsibilities**

+ Performs routine unloading, sorting and packing of incoming materials (mail, supplies, etc.).

+ Stocks material in appropriate locations.

+ Kits job orders and delivers to the manufacturing floor.

+ Performs inventory cycle counts and inventory counts.

+ Prepares products for shipping and performs shipping of products to clients.

+ Independently identifies and resolves low impact issues.

+ Assists with the prioritizing of daily inbound and outbound traffic issues using all modes of transportation.

+ Unloads and processes all inbound deliveries.

+ Provides certified shipping service for all modes of transport.

+ Sources carriers and negotiates shipping modes and rates.

+ Assists in resolving transportation freight claims for damages and shortages of incoming and outgoing shipments.

+ Handles supply inventory, vehicle and material handling maintenance records, and tracking of accountable receipts and shipments with storage or additional handling requirements.

**Responsibilities**

+ Conduct receipt, store and issue of SMAG items.

+ Conduct spot, semi-annual and annual inventory of SMAG items.

+ Conduct transactions in DPAS, GCSS-MC, and EMS.

+ Perform technical research to identify items.

+ Conduct causative research on supply discrepancies.

+ Provide accountability, inventory, and supply reports as required.

**Key Qualifications**

+ Experience in Supply Chain Management

+ Ability to hold a DOD SECRET Security Clearance.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience working on-site at government client location.

+ Knowledgeable/Experience with Marine Corps Supply processes and procedures.

+ Knowledge/Experience with Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS)

+ Knowledge/Experience with Enterprise Management System (EMS)

+ Knowledge/Experience with Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC).

+ Knowledge/Experience with Microsoft applications.

+ Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and maintain effective working relationships with government staff.
