Position Overview

The Dougherty County Public Works is seeking an Environmental Control Technician to fulfill a vital role within the department.
Key Responsibilities

The chosen candidate will be responsible for various essential tasks, including:
  • Operating and maintaining specialized equipment such as spraying trucks and ULV machines.
  • Administering and documenting mosquito control measures and larvicide applications in designated areas.
  • Utilizing Data Loggers to collect and analyze data, generating reports from the information gathered.
  • Managing the inventory of chemicals and supplies necessary for pest control operations.
  • Providing assistance to mowing crews as needed.
Flexibility to work outside of standard hours during the spraying season is required.
Qualifications

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, along with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in pest control and herbicide application, or a comparable combination of education and experience. A valid state driver's license and a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License are mandatory.
