Overview:


The Research Assistant II will assist with the coordination and implementation of research protocols conducted with children with/without autism spectrum disorders and their families.

This staff member is also responsible for training, monitoring, maintaining data, and participating in study protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of research projects in accordance with the funding agency's award statement; including the recruitment of participants, set-up/breakdown of testing rooms, videotaping evaluation, and implementing all other aspects of study protocols.
  • Conduct telephone screenings and schedule evaluations for families participating in the research studies.
  • Administer experimental measures with research participants under the supervision of senior clinicians.
  • Train new staff, students, and volunteers on relevant aspects of the research protocols.
  • Oversee the acquisition and maintenance of all data collected for research studies.
  • Assist the Principal Investigator (Dr. Landa) with data reduction of assigned research protocols.
  • Be involved in literature reviews, and writing up the results of ongoing studies, including submissions to conferences, peer-reviewed publications, and grants.
  • Be involved in preparing presentations to internal and external agencies for educational and recruitment purposes.
  • Assist with the development of coding schema and ensure reliability is maintained within the coding team.
  • Assist CARD administration with tracking and monitoring project expenditures.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Master's degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 0 - 2 years of related research experience (administering standardized assessments) required.
  • Treatment experience with preschool aged individuals with autism.
