Position Overview:
We are in search of a proficient and dedicated Physician Assistant II to become a vital member of our OR-Robotics team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in surgical procedures, exceptional clinical abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced surgical environment. This role necessitates a dedication to delivering high-quality patient care throughout the surgical process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and management of surgical patients in the operating room, ensuring the availability of all necessary equipment and instruments for robotic procedures.
  • Conduct pre-operative evaluations and provide comprehensive education to patients and their families regarding the surgical process and recovery expectations.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to formulate and implement perioperative care strategies.
  • Support robotic-assisted surgeries, assisting the surgeon as required.
  • Monitor patients during surgical procedures and throughout their recovery, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  • Accurately document surgical procedures and patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of the Robotics Program.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • State licensure as a Physician Assistant in Maryland.
  • Prior experience in a surgical or operating room setting is preferred, particularly with a focus on robotics or minimally invasive techniques.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
