Network Engineer Skill Level 2

This position is looking for a Network Engineer responsible for handling networking tasks such as telephony, VoIP, and videoconferencing across different sites. The candidate should have a good understanding of network deployment, maintenance, and operations, as well as experience with Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Meeting Server.

Security Clearance Requirements:

To qualify for this position, candidates must be U.S. Citizens and hold a TS/SCI Security Clearance with an appropriate Polygraph.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in network management from design to implementation and maintenance.
  • Analyze networks, identify issues, and provide solutions for efficient operations.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot anomalies, and respond to issues.
  • Help with the deployment of VoIP, video teleconference (VTC), and telephone systems.
  • Communicate with external network operations centers when necessary.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of network services and systems.
  • Communicate technical information in a clear manner to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Install and configure new network systems hardware and software.
  • Create and maintain network systems diagrams and documentation.

Qualifications:

Required Education & Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required.
  • Ten (10) years' experience as a Network Engineer is required.

Required Certification (possess and maintain one of the following):

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate - (CCNA) Routing and Switching.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate - (CCNA) Security.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate - (CCNA) Video.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate - (CCNA) Voice.
