Position we are hiring for: AV Sales Engineer/Associate


Qualifications

• Self-motivated individuals who care about others' success

• Likes being part of a team and supporting teammates

• Strong experience in audio/video/lighting industry sales, integration/installation, house of worship, live event production, and/or in a recording studio or a live music venue

• Reliable and dependable as we always need an opening salesperson and a closing salesperson

• Audio/Music Gearheads: Those with professional technical expertise in pro audio, visual, and lighting equipment

• Delights The Customer - Deep passion and desire for creating amazing customer & colleague experiences

• Gets Things Done - Great work ethic and moves with a sense of urgency

• Takes Pride in the Details – manages communication and administration of sales transactions

• Bi-lingual Spanish a plus

Responsibilities


• Create and continuously foster relationships with professional integration and production customers – we don't just sell what we have, we sell what the customer needs

• Give professional advice and sell pro audio, video, and lighting gear

• Support sound system design and select gear for churches, schools, restaurants/hospitality, live venues, recording studios

• Educate customers on all categories of gear and a wide variety of topics such as amplification, digital audio recording, live sound, stage lighting, video, intercom, and more

• Follow up on orders or troubleshoot a gear issue in partnership with our suppliers to provide outstanding customer service

• Participate in training and education to learn about new products to advise customers

• Answer phones, respond to emails, handle walk-in customers, pull and stage customer pick up orders, source products, process payments, collaborate with suppliers, support teammates

• Work in an office environment with other sales and operations teammates

• Own sales transaction from initial contact through quoting, research, follow up, sales confirmation, payment processing, picking, shipping, invoicing, and returns/repairs

• Salary: Base salary plus sales commission

• Customer service hours 9am-5pm Monday-Friday (salespeople work either 8:30am-5pm or 9am-5:30pm)

The people who tend to be most successful in this role are people with extensive experience in the live event industry who love the equipment and gear but are tired of working nights, weekends, and traveling all over the country to do it. This is a 9-5 M-F desk job connected to the live event industry where these people can still use their knowledge and skills.
