The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory Program Support Specialist responsible for supervising district administrative personnel in the performance of support services duties..

This position is located in the Southern District of Texas. Selections will be made for the Brownsville, TX, Corpus Christi, TX, or McAllen, TX office. Duty location will be determined at the time of selection.

**Responsibilities**

As a Supervisory Program Support Specialist at the GS grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following:

+ Supervising subordinate administrative staff.

+ Working closely with the Administrative Officer (AO) on implementing processes for providing administrative services for the district's main and/or sub-office(s);

+ Analyzing the district's financial obligations and expenditures to ensure compliance with USMS policies and procedures;

+ Providing advice and assistance to management on HR matters and/or issues;

+ Providing oversight of the property management program; and

+ Assuring contractors are performing projects that have quality and timeliness measures in place. **Travel Required**

The SF-50 must include your position, title, series, grade, step, tenure, type of service (Competitive or Excepted) and career status (career or career-conditional). + One year at the GS-11 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 grade level. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply.

**Specialized Experience:** Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:

1) providing oversight of office administrative services in order to investigate, evaluate and resolve a variety of problems and/or conditions;

2) monitoring a budget to ensure that funds are obligated;

3) compiling, reviewing and analyzing report data for completeness and accuracy;

4) serving as a liaison between management and the human resources office in order to provide advice and assistance on HR matters; and

5) monitoring, and/or approving, and controlling accountable government equipment, material, and supplies.
