Offered Compensation
Annual Salary Range: From $114,500 to $136,500

Job Overview

The IT Department plays a pivotal role in driving Commerce Bank's success. As a Domain Architect, you will take the lead in designing solutions for the designated domain, which includes Business, Information, Applications, or Technology Infrastructure Domains. You will contribute to IT service strategy, design, and planning for assigned IT service families by creating necessary architecture content. Moreover, you will engage with the Enterprise Architecture Program by participating in architecture consultations, reviews, and governance of reference architectures. We are looking for individuals with the talent to design and integrate with an online banking application using cutting-edge technologies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and upkeep domain reference architecture
  • Collaborate in cross-domain reference architecture development
  • Act as the domain architecture consultant for development teams
  • Engage in architecture reviews
  • Handle architecture exceptions for the domain
  • Conduct research and development based on emerging trends and technologies in the banking industry, data engineering, architectural data security, and related subjects
  • Collaborate with developers to build pipelines, self-service tools, and automated deployment processes
  • Mentor team members and provide cross-training as needed
  • Perform additional assigned duties
Requirements
  • Solid background in data architecture and design
  • Expertise in Databricks engineering services such as Unity Catalog, Spark Jobs, Delta Live Tables
  • Proficiency in designing and architecting solutions in Azure Data factory and Azure Databricks
  • Extensive experience with Azure cloud technologies including PySpark, ADF, Databricks, Python, Scala, and SQL
  • In-depth understanding of domain architecture and architectural design principles
  • Capacity to mentor and coach team members
  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to address application issues, integrations, and connectivity effectively
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors
  • Self-motivated and organized individual with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or equivalent education and experience combination
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in Domain (Business, Information, Applications, Technology Infrastructure)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in producing design documentation, patterns, standards, or specifications
