Position Summary


The Loss Mitigation Coordinator I plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of administrative tasks directly related to the company's Loss Mitigation functions.

The role is primarily responsible, under close to general supervision, for reviewing repayment plans and conducting qualification analysis for formal repayment plan agreements.

The Loss Mitigation Coordinator I supports the more experienced staff in various duties including quality control of western union quick collect payments.


Essential Functions

  • Review applicant pipeline for repayment plan options, collect supporting income and expense documentation, conduct income/expense analysis using financial web tools, and draft, ship, and track receipt of signed plans and any required contribution funds.
  • Collect necessary documents to determine eligibility for repayment plans, including frequent right party contact and follow
- through.

  • Draft the repayment agreement and followup for any required contribution funds and signatures.
  • Place appropriate holds on accounts to ensure no further collection or foreclosure activity takes place until either the payment plan completes in entirety, or the borrower defaults on the agreement.
  • Send applicable decline letters if the borrower does not qualify for repayment plan options.
  • Support Coordinator III in various duties including quality control of Western Union quick collect payments.
  • Review account statuses and documentation as it relates to promisetopay or imminent foreclosure sale dates.
  • Assist with the 90day delinquent loan reporting, ensuring foreclosure referrals have had all the necessary correspondence sent in accordance with State specific regulations.
  • Act as a backup to the front desk and assist with monthly bulk mailings.
  • Assist with monthly Mortgage Insurance reporting.
  • Respond to customer inquiries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, or equivalent preferred, along with at least one year experience providing general administrative support in a back office financial services environment, preferably in mortgage loan processing
  • Highly organized and detail oriented; ability to work in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment required
  • Proficient with data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Perform basic internet searches
  • 10key by touch preferred
  • Prior experience using document retention software; Blitzdoc preferred

Supervision

  • Close to general supervision of work, depending on experience
  • Low level of independent judgment and discretion used in decisionmaking, escalates more complex issues for advice and resolution
  • Executes standard core job responsibilities with only minor variation

Requirements:

  • Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; occasionally walks and/or stands.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
  • Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.
  • Environmental: Office environment no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
