Key Responsibilities- Service designated regions with company-provided resources.
- Conduct comprehensive loss control assessments of commercial accounts:
- Deliver precise evaluations of the physical and operational characteristics of insured entities.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend strategies to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with underwriters and staff regarding account acceptability and risk management strategies.
- Assist in understanding account operations, exposures, and protective measures.
- Perform investigations into incidents and analyze losses to determine root causes.
- Utilize effective communication and sales techniques to ensure compliance with recommendations and provide training on safety and supervision.
- Participate in joint marketing initiatives alongside Underwriting, Claims, and Marketing teams.
- Maintain an expert understanding of company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations applicable to Property, Liability, and Casualty lines.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff members.
- May oversee the work of others, including mentoring, prioritizing tasks, and reviewing assignments.
- May be involved in performance management and talent development for direct reports.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Field of Study: Safety, Engineering, Insurance, Business, or a related discipline.
Experience: Typically, 10 or more years of relevant experience. Professional certifications in the field are advantageous; possible certifications include Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Associate Risk Management (ARM), and others.
