Cabot Citrus Farms
Cabot's first U.S. destination, Cabot Citrus Farms, is on 1,200 acres of rolling land and will include Cabot's signature combination of world-class golf, luxury accommodations, and real estate opportunities. Opening in 2023, Cabot Citrus Farms will feature two revitalized 18-hole courses, a par-3 course, a new clubhouse, and extensive practice facilities. The property is a short 50-minute drive from Tampa and an 80-minute drive from Orlando. While close to urban amenities, the property sits in the central-west region of Florida aptly known as the Nature Coast. Visitors will delight in one-of-a-kind experiences including exceptional hiking, biking, and nature trails at neighboring Withlacoochee State Forest, spring-fed rivers and bountiful lakes at Crystal River, and world-class fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.
Position Overview
As a key Cabot Citrus Farms team member, our Convention Services Manager will be instrumental in building on the Cabot legacy of world-class experiences. You will inspire and lead a team of top performers who take pride in delivering personalized experiences for our guests. The Profile
Reporting to Cabot's Director of Food & Beverage, the Convention Services Manager will join a new and growing team, as a member of the pre-opening team. Areas of responsibility include ensuring facility and service readiness, the successful operation of Cabot Citrus Farms on-site dining venues, team building, development, and fostering a service-oriented culture.
The Convention Services Manager will be a high-energy professional with a passion for hospitality. They will possess exceptional communication and guest experience skills with a strong desire to lead and coach a young, dynamic team to deliver on the brand's mission to "Create Magical Places Where Remarkable Memories are Made".

Key Responsibilities
- Interact with guests to facilitate group events with breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee breaks, and meeting space options.
- Write Banquet Event Orders or BEOs, to be approved by clients or guests. Distribution of event orders to F&B, Sales, and Rooms Department.
- Responsible for coordination with the F&B team with menu options.
- Facilitate with F&B team and or Beverage management team the programs for events.
- Knowledgeable in banquet setup requirements, space capacity, head counts, and accurate seating of the space.
- Manage the banquet space bookings for accuracy to avoid double booking.
- Strong interdepartmental communication skills.
- Manage staffing for banquet events and create schedules.
- Maintain timetables and deadlines.
- Accurate management of client relationships from beginning to end with quotes to billing.
- Establish and manage operating procedures for Convention Service standards and Banquet operations.
- Upsell all resort activities like; Outdoor sports, yoga, spa amenities, and pool activities.
- Set up and maintain third-party contractors ie: transportation services, linen vendors, rentals, and high-end special event planners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hospitality from a recognized University or College is an asset
- 5+ years' experience in all facets of resort Food and Beverage operation, including a minimum of 2-3 years of successful management experience
- Strong culinary knowledge and interest is an asset
- Must be a creative and effective leader and a team player possessing a high degree of professionalism; sound human resources, communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills (including computer literacy); ambition; drive; energy; and determination
- Proficient with computer software systems, POS, Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to perform well in a fast-paced environment
Physical Demands
- Able to work long hours, be flexible, and work well under pressure
- Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing
- Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Exerting up to 50+ pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, or otherwise move objects
