Landscape Architect

Coastal Engineering Associates, Inc., (COASTAL) established in 1958, is a multi-disciplined firm providing planning, surveying, engineering, environmental and construction management services in the four County region of Hernando, Citrus, Sumter, and Pasco located in west-central Florida.COASTAL is looking for a full–time Landscape Architect with experience in a focus in land development and/or commercial development.As a Landscape Architect at COASTAL, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and implementation of landscape elements within our residential subdivisions and commercial projects.As a licensed landscape Architect, you will lead and/or assist in conceptual designs, layouts, detailing, cost estimating, and specifications while closely collaborating with our Planning and Engineering Departments.Conduct comprehensive site evaluations, analyzing environmental factors, topography, soil conditions, and existing vegetation.Create detailed landscape designs encompassing planting plans and hardscape features.Prepare construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates in alignment with industry standards and local codes, utilizing CAD software and other design tools.Incorporate sustainable design principles into projects, including native plant selection, water conservation strategies, and stormwater management solutions.
