POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Director of Nursing, it is your responsibility to organize, develop, manage, and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community.
The Director of Nursing is to work directly with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times.
Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.
Qualification/Responsibilities:
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
Must have, as a minimum, two (2) year of recent experience in a supervisory role in a nursing care facility
Organize, develop and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility
Work directly with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times.
