ROLE OVERVIEW:

In this role, you will be handling quotations, negotiations, purchase orders, tracking products, and ensuring smooth operations within the purchasing department. It's essential to communicate effectively with both internal team members and external partners to guarantee timely deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide accurate and timely quotations to support sales and customer needs.
  • Monitor purchase orders and manage inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to enhance lead times and inventory management.
  • Ensure excellent customer service, address issues promptly, and identify new suppliers.
  • Maintain professional communication with vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Handle any other relevant duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business or 5 years of purchasing experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years in purchasing/supply chain within relevant industries.

Preferred:

  • Certifications:

Professional certifications in purchasing or supply chain management are advantageous. Knowledge of supply chain concepts and the manufacturing industry is highly desired. Strong negotiation skills, analytical abilities, and familiarity with heavy fabrication suppliers are crucial for this role.
