Expand your professional career as a Buyer with MAU at our client in Fairburn, GA. As a Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in driving project success by managing quotations, negotiating purchase orders, and tracking critical products. You’ll ensure seamless project execution by promptly alerting your team and management when orders are fulfilled, and proactively identifying any purchased components that may impact project costs or schedules. Your collaboration with Project Management, Master Scheduling, and Sales will be key to ensuring projects are completed successfully and on time. (This is a direct-hire opportunity).

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or 7+ years of relevant purchasing experience
• Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, purchasing/supply chain management.
• Strong experience within the heavy fabrication, foundry, or machining industry.
• Professional certifications in purchasing or supply chain management are a plus. CSCP and/or CMP certification, or other related project management certifications.
• In-depth experience in the Manufacturing Industry and a strong understanding of Supply Chain Management concepts are a must.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, and a deep understanding of the supplier landscape within the heavy fabrication sector.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Outstanding communication (internal and external), organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Office 365 and ERP systems
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on quality and productivity
• Coordinates projects in conjunction with the internal Project Management team.
• Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
• Strong competency in managing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
• Great organizational skills, demonstrating effective use of company resources and ability to stay on task and manage time efficiently to meet timelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively work prioritizing in a high demanding environment.
• Ability to work in various physical conditions, including exposure to weather and mechanical environments
• Flexibility for occasional travel up to 20%, sometimes on short notice

What You’ll Do as a Buyer:

• Provide accurate and timely quotations to support equipment and rebuild projects
• Track and monitor purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues
• Collaborate with Project Management and Master Scheduling to maintain project schedules
• Offer exceptional customer service by addressing issues promptly and effectively
• Continuously seek out new suppliers while maintaining expected pricing levels
• Perform other tasks as assigned, contributing to cultural development initiatives
