As a key member of the Independent senior leadership team, this position will function at both a strategic and operational level.

Strategically the Global Independent CFO will work in partnership with the Global MD in driving growth and sustainable profit for the business.

This role will be responsible for the financial health of the business, working with the local finance teams to drive planning/budgeting/forecasting, consolidating Global financial & management reporting and overseeing financial control.


Key Duties:
Strategic support & business partnering

Work with the Global Independent MD and senior leadership team to develop business plans and commercial strategies to sustainably grow profitability and value of the leisure businesses.

Drive the strategic business planning and reforecast process and help the Global Independent MD communicate goals, targets and strategies across the business.

Guide operational decision making through the application of commercial acumen to business propositions. This may include financial modelling, evaluation of multiple opportunities using ROI, NPV etc.

Educate and support leaders and operational stakeholders (internal & external) in the business to ensure they have a good commercial understanding of their business, risks and impact of business decisions on financial performance.

Drive a globally consistent approach across finance where-ever possible, striving for constant improvement in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.
Finance Operations

Responsible for all reporting requirements at a consolidated Global level, including management reporting, consolidation of Global results and any Global audit requirements.

Provide monthly performance reporting that enables business stakeholders to make informed decisions.
Oversight of the financial controls, finance systems and processes in the local businesses that ensure integrity of reported results.
Lead a team of accountants responsible for management reporting, month end and financial control for the Australian Independent business.
Leadership

As a member of the senior Global Independent leadership team, you will lead by example by embracing the company's purpose, values and culture.

Play an influential role working with the local CFO's and finance teams to ensure the Global strategies are deployed, and results measured.

Maintain and develop external relationships with key suppliers, bankers, auditors, tax advisers and lawyers as and when required.

Work closely with FCTG support teams in head office including Global Tax, GFR, Corporate Finance and Enterprise Risk as and when required.


What you will bring to the role:
At least 5 years proven experience in a senior finance leadership role
Bachelor's Degree
Intermediate to advanced level excel knowledge
Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage
