Are you an actuary looking to utilize your coding skills? Prudential Retirement Strategies has an opportunity for a Senior Actuarial Associate to join their End-to-End Modeling team within Prudential's Global Capabilities Organization.

The associate will work with other developers to expand and refine an in-house python model ("PyVal") valuing actively sold Fixed and Indexed Annuity products.

The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business.

Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:
Design, build and test model enhancements (refinements, new features, automation, optimization)
Develop deep expertise in FlexGuard's (and other annuity products') material results drivers
Work alongside other developers on a small Agile team
Collaborate with other actuarial teams (Valuation, Assumptions, Pricing) and CIO
Continuously upskill in python, understanding of PyVal model, and actuarial concepts and annuities product knowledge

What youll need:
Python coding expert, or 2+ years' python coding experience with strong interest in becoming a technical expert
Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related quantitative field
On an actuarial track (actively taking exams towards ASA designation) or is a credentialed actuary
Experience with object-oriented programming and knowledge of basic software engineering concepts
Creative problem solver with an aptitude for complex technical work
Excellent technical communication skills- can summarize for non-technical/senior audiences and dive into sufficient detail when needed

The salary range for this role is from $97,300.00 to $144, Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.

Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
