Medicaid Coordinator Assistant

The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is looking for a Medicaid Coordinator Assistant to join their team.

The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Skilled Nursing Facility for over 55 years, is nestled on more than 100 acres in Northern Westchester County, New York. The Rehabilitation Care is rendered with great clinical acumen and advanced technology. The warm and home-like atmosphere contributes to the quality of life of the Long-Term Care Community. We are seeking a support person to our Medicaid Coordinator.

Responsibilities Include:

· Assist with Financial Interview for Medicaid application process, order documents related to application, work with financial institutions.

· Assist with Medicaid application/conversions

· Provide assistance to Coordinator with filing fair hearing and attend hearings when necessary

· Assist with Budget corrections if necessary

· Assist with yearly Medicaid recertification

· Assist with Enrollments in mandatory MLTC plans

· Educate families about income payments.

· Discuss with Private Patients their finance options

· Assist with Guardianship petition

· Assist with HMO disenrollment's and MLTC enrollments

· Assist with preparing any requests from 3rd Party Biller.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Some experience preferred, experience in long term care preferred.
