Vivonics is seeking a biomedical engineering (BME) co-op to join our team for the summer/fall of 2024.
This is a full time, paid position, which works collaboratively with our Engineering Manager and team of
biomedical, mechanical, electrical and software engineers. The position is available starting in June
Vivonics is looking for a self-motivated and enthusiast person with a passion for engineering and research
to improve human health and performance. The BME co-op will be integral to our engineering and clinical
programs.
Position Description:
In this position, you will contribute to the development of new technologies, products, and solutions.
Your typical duties aid in the design and laboratory tasks in support of biomedical device development,
fabrication, and testing including:
- Performing literature searches and summarize results
- Data digitizing, acquisition, and analysis
- Assisting in the development and testing of software algorithms
- Interfacing with prototype systems and conduct hands‐on testing
- Producing technical documentation including sponsor reports, laboratory protocols, assembly
This position requires you to work in a small company, cross-functional, collaborative environment with
external collaborations with all sorts of backgrounds.
Skills:
- An interest in supporting the clinical development and research of medical devices
- Ability to handle multiple projects and effectively follow written/verbal instructions
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Strong work ethic, methodical approach to new challenges
- Analysis skills, including basic Excel. MATLAB knowledge a plus.
- Written and oral communication
- LabVIEW and C programming knowledge a plus
Qualifications:
Master's degree preferably in electrical, mechanical or biomedical engineering.
