Responsibilities:
- Contribute to and execute LLS sustainability strategy for nature-based product portfolio
- Monitor and implement mapping of feedstocks and sourcing knowledge for natural feedstocks
- Establish best practices, procedures & systems to improve sustainability data collection and integrity
- Collaborate with corporate supply chain function on data assimilation/reporting process to fulfill traceability and reporting requirements
- Engage with the innovation team to assess supply chain sustainability credentials
- Oversee third-party certifications such as RSPO, COSMOS, NaTrue, etc.
- Act as the main contact for certifications, traceability, and ingredient sustainability information
- Develop strategies for disclosure and transparency initiatives in alignment with third-party certification agencies, governments & key customers
- Recommend collaborative programs with NGO(s) for sustainable sourcing with a positive impact on local communities and the environment
- Understand the sustainability attributes of LLS products and their implications on final products
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Engineering, or a related science field
- 3+ years of experience in sustainability, regulatory, and/or sourcing/traceability
- Knowledge in botanicals, feedstocks for biopolymers, and fermentation-derived ingredients is advantageous
- Previous experience with third-party certifications for sustainable sourcing is a plus
- Familiarity with global sustainability trends/requirements in the beauty and personal care industry
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders
