  • This key role demands 5-7 years' experience in health care compliance, with a strong preference for Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or equivalent.

Job Summary:

The Ethics and Compliance Manager plays a vital role in overseeing City of Hope's Ethics and Compliance program within a specific geographic area of the organization.

Responsibilities include enforcing company policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, statutes, and internal directives. The Manager conducts on-site and virtual compliance training tailored to meet local needs and organization-wide priorities. From educating staff on City of Hope's Code of Conduct to monitoring compliance with privacy policies, the Manager ensures alignment with enterprise goals.

Staying ahead of evolving laws and regulations, the Manager collaborates with the ethics and compliance team to design effective policies and training programs. Additionally, the Manager investigates reported policy violations and offers guidance on privacy and compliance matters. Working under the guidance of the system ethics and compliance office, the Manager serves as a crucial local compliance resource, maintaining uniformity in ethical practices.

Skills, Education, and Additional Information

  • A Bachelor's degree in law, medicine, health administration, nursing, accounting, or a related field is required. Relevant experience can substitute for educational qualifications.
  • 5-7 years' background in health care compliance or a related healthcare sector is essential.
  • Preference is given to candidates with Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or equivalent.
  • Key competencies include managing multiple priorities, meticulous data organization, discretion in handling sensitive information, meeting deadlines, adaptability, and building strong relationships.
  • The role demands exceptional attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication skills, analytical thinking, and sound decision-making abilities.
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate integrity, uphold confidentiality, and exhibit high ethical standards.

City of Hope offers a competitive pay range of $101,464.00 to $166,464.00, considering factors like experience, education, certifications, and job complexity.
