ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

THE MANAGER WILL ASSUME THE LEAD ROLE FOR COORDINATING PRE-CONSTRUCTION DAILY ACTIVITIES OF THE STORE DEVELOPMENT, REAL ESTATE, LEGAL DEPARTMENTS.
THEY WILL ACT AS THE COORDINATION POINT FOR OUTSIDE ENGINEERS AND CONSULTANTS AS IT RELATES TO PERFORMING DUE DILIGENCE, DESIGN DEVELOPMENT, AND CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS OF NEW STORES, EXPANSION PROJECTS, REMODELS, AND FUEL STATIONS. THEY WILL HAVE A THOROUGH UNDERSTANDING OF LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL REGULATORY AGENCIES AND THEIR PROCESSES AS RELATED TO THE BUILDING PERMIT REVIEWS AND APPROVALS. THEY WILL COMMUNICATE THE INTERESTS OF WEIS MARKETS, INC. TO GOVERNMENT AGENCY OFFICIALS AND CONDUCT NEGOTIATIONS ON BEHALF OF WEIS MARKETS INC.

INITIATE PROJECTS:

ESTABLISH PROJECT TEAMS WITH THE DIRECTOR OF ARCHITECTURE FOR ASSIGNED PROJECTS, COMPLETES PROJECT INITIATION DOCUMENTS WHICH INCLUDE DETAILED WORK SCOPE/OUTLINE, BUDGET, AND SCHEDULE FOR COMPLETION.

MANAGE PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

:

ENSURE THAT ALL STEPS FOLLOW WEIS OPERATING PROCEDURES AND MAINTAIN THE PLANNED DELIVERY SCHEDULE.

KEEP INTERNAL CLIENTS INFORMED OF THE ON-GOING PROJECT STATUS AND PROVIDES STRONG GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT TO THE MEMBERS OF THE PROJECT TEAM.

WORK WITH PUBLIC UTILITIES TO IDENTIFY SPECIFIC NEEDS AND EASEMENTS AFFECTING BUILDING DESIGN AND USAGE.

SERVE AS THE CENTRAL POINT OF CONTACT FOR WEIS STORE DEVELOPMENT, REAL ESTATE, LEGAL DEPARTMENTS, AND FUNCTIONAL AREAS OF THE BUSINESS STAKEHOLDERS RELATIVE TO ONGOING ACTIVITIES IN THE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES.

COORDINATE WITH WEIS CONSTRUCTION TO DEVELOP BUDGETS AND CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULES.

WORK WITH WEIS LAND DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION TO DEVELOP STANDARDIZED BUILDING DESIGN CRITERIA AND MAINTAIN STANDARDS DURING THE DESIGN PROCESS.

FUNCTION AS THE TECHNICAL ADVISOR TO ALL INTERNAL DEPARTMENTS REGARDING MATTERS OF BUILDING DESIGN, DUE DILIGENCE, AND RELATED ACTIVITIES TO THE PURSUIT OF PROJECT APPROVALS.

INITIATE, DRAFT, AND NEGOTIATE CONTRACTS AND/OR PURCHASE ORDERS FOR APPROVAL.

PERFORM CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION FUNCTIONS.
TO INCLUDE REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF CONSTRUCTION CHANGE ORDERS PROPOSALS (COP), SHOP DRAWINGS & SUBMITTALS. RESPONDS AND MANAGES REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION (RFI).
