Working with little supervision, you will be in charge of supervising and checking the housekeeping and janitorial tasks carried out by other custodians, including inspecting assigned areas. You will also make sure to oversee the work of your team members and provide guidance when needed. Additionally, you will need to manage the use of supplies and equipment, keep track of time records, and offer training to employees under your supervision.
Responsibilities
- Inspect designated areas regularly.
- Review the work done by your team in custodial activities.
- Advise supervisors on maintenance needs.
- Manage supplies and equipment for cleaning purposes.
- Ensure accurate timekeeping and provide training to staff.
- Give clear instructions to team members and recommend additional training if necessary.
- Perform any other assigned tasks.
- Proficiency in using common cleaning tools and equipment.
- Capability to follow schedules and work safely when handling objects.
- Able to understand and follow simple instructions, both written and verbal.
- Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED.
- Five (5) years of experience in custodial or janitorial work, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory role.
Benefits Overview
