Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Oversee Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Supervise and Train Staff: Review the work of subordinates, provide guidance and training, and recommend corrective action as needed.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Advise superiors on the need for repairs and maintenance, and ensure that all necessary work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Supply Management: Issue and control the use of supplies and equipment for custodial work.
  • Timekeeping and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of employee time and attendance, and ensure that all necessary reports are completed.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors, and work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Five years of experience in general custodial or janitorial work, plus one year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Skills: Ability to use common cleaning tools and equipment, follow work schedules and safety protocols, and read and follow written instructions.
