JOB POSITION AND COMPANY IMPACT

Moss is looking for Solar Electrical Field Project Engineers to join the team. As part of this role, you will support the Electrical Assistant and Electrical Project Manager in overseeing large-scale solar projects. Your responsibilities will involve managing contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and scheduling. Positive attitude and effective communication are essential as you will collaborate with staff across all levels in a dynamic environment.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Task areas include Crew Management, Reporting, Tool Connex, and Material Acquisition.
  • Initiate project setup including reviewing contracts, developing checklists, coordinating mobilization, selecting subcontractors & vendors, identifying critical milestones, finalizing setup, and more.
  • Manage materials by creating schedules, confirming deliveries, reviewing drawings, monitoring off-site storage, and coordinating with various teams.
  • Coordinate construction activities, conduct quality control inspections, ensure safety compliance, and participate in project meetings.
  • Support project administration tasks, handle subcontractor agreements, manage project files, track costs, process payments, and more.
  • Assist in change order processes by analyzing scope changes, expediting pricing, preparing cost proposals, and negotiating.
  • Perform additional assigned duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of six months to one-year internship or full-time experience in Solar projects or construction as a project engineer.
  • Proficient in computer skills, especially with construction project management tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Basic finance knowledge is preferred.
