  • Review designs for DFM/DFA and suggest enhancements as required
  • Provide post-launch and ongoing production support
  • Communicate with internal/external customers and vendors
  • Target and implement improvements relating to product and operational costs
  • Use CAD and PC systems for designs and proposals
  • Participate in oral and written departmental reviews
  • Establish, track, and communicate system design time costs
  • Make changes to harnesses, including design of components
  • Work within the procedures of the quality system and recommend changes or additions as needed
  • Recommend, document, and implement cost-saving ideas
  • Aid in the on-site resolution of quality-related issues and analyze their impact on warranty claims

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Commitment to continuing education and enhancing technical knowledge

Skills:

  • Strong presentation and customer interaction skills
  • Excellent communication, listening, technical writing, team leadership, and project management skills
  • General knowledge of CAD with a strong computer background; working knowledge of 2D, ProE is preferred
  • Familiarity with Capital H software
  • Knowledge of industry trends and vehicle systems design
  • Strong organizational skills for tracking assigned projects
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
