As the Sales Manager, you will drive and be responsible for customer interactions throughout the development of potential sales opportunities, from their early stages to order placement.

In this capacity, you will develop and implement robust sales strategies aimed at securing H2 project orders. This involves leading a dedicated opportunity team, ensuring our company's goals are aligned with our customer's needs.

You will lead discussions and efforts with both the customer and our internal teams, employing creative approaches to finalize profitable deals while identifying and mitigating risks.

Your role encompasses coordinating team efforts, articulating plans and strategies, speaking publicly to upper management and negotiating contracts to achieve successful outcomes.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Develop, prioritize, and lead project opportunities to secure orders while handling regional partnerships with Siemens Energy business development teams and regional H2, Power to X, oil and gas and industrial customers.
  • Consult business development team through assessing the characteristics of each lead to resolve their viability and allow the organization to allocate resources to only those opportunities that have a high likelihood of moving forward.
  • Continuously develop competence throughout different Siemens Energy sales organizations about the SES portfolio.
  • Driving key discussions and forming relationships with senior customer representatives, including EPCs, owners engineers and end customers.
  • Understanding the overall project including customer decision drivers, identify risks & and opportunities, competitive landscape and timelines.
  • Guide customer in technical project specification and consult for most advantageous technology selection with support from Siemens Energy internal guides.
  • Own the core team assigned to the opportunity in preparation of bid documents, feasibility, pre-feed and feed studies as per client/tender requirements, in line with Siemens Energy process and policies and by applying the tools required.
  • Develop and communicate project winning strategy, including the alignment with all relevant team members prior to a decision to bid an opportunity. Prepare and present findings to SES leadership for these bid decisions meetings in a concise and articulate manner to highlight the important aspects of a project with an organized strategy.
  • Set-up and lead cross functional and cross organizational bid/bring together teams during bid preparation and contract negotiation.
  • Drive and lead contract negotiations and post tender clarifications for the sale of the hydrogen electrolyzers with a planned negotiation strategy in alignment with other Siemens Energy team members.
  • Submit comprehensive and high quality technical & commercial proposals to the Customer.
  • Lead the transfer of the contract to project management team for a successful execution fo a signed contract.
  • Ensure all work is in line with the QA procedures, statutory, regulatory and EHS requirements.
  • Abide by and stay in sync with the Siemens Compliance and Business Conduct Guidelines
What You Bring

  • Experienced professional with more than 10 years of professional experience. 5 years of proven experience in Technical Sales, Bid Management or Business Development.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Sales or other relevant field
  • Customer facing experience (Vital)
  • Project Management experience and/or PMP certification (Preferred)
  • Experience in relevant technical teams such as design/construction/ commissioning/project management/ and or engineering practices in relevant industries such as power generation, oil & gas, petrochemicals (Preferred)
  • Able to work in a fast paced, multi-cultural environment and willing to acquire new technology know-how in the field of power-to-hydrogen and power-to-X
  • Experience in H2 Electrolysis, photovoltaic or battery technology, and related process technology and safety requirements (Preferred)
  • Experience in contract negotiations (Necessary) and project hand-over to execution teams
  • Sound knowledge of contract management and understanding of commercial aspects and quality management methods / tools with knowledge of project management procedures & tools
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, able to inspire a multifunctional and multicultural team (Necessary)
  • A pro-active hard worker with high energy levels, who is used to working under pressure and to tight / challenging deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time (Vital)
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish (Preferred)
