The Area Manager plays a vital role in achieving revenue targets through effective leadership, planning, and supervision of HSE, Operational Productivity, Personnel, Financial Performance and Quality Objectives in their assigned area.

Overview

The Area Manager is in charge of strategizing, overseeing, and managing all activities within the area to meet financial, HSE, quality, and customer service goals. Flexibility is key as the Area Manager may need to take on additional responsibilities as required.


Duties

  • Essential certification in relevant inspection disciplines.
  • Directs and coordinates all key functions of the Area Operations to drive growth and development aligned with company objectives.
  • Oversees overall operations of the designated area, ensuring compliance with financial commitments, operational efficiency, safety protocols, environmental standards, quality protocols, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborates with the Region Vice President on profit center expansion, enhancements, and equipment strategies.
  • Maintains open communication with sales teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Ensures adequate organization and workforce to achieve divisional targets.
  • Reviews and endorses divisional initiatives for alignment with company directives.
  • Champions a culture of high-quality work and safety consciousness.
  • Enters data into designated ERP systems like NOV Tuboscope Gold, JDE, etc.
  • Reports to the Region Vice President or assigned company contact.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with the NOV Tuboscope Quality System, encompassing Quality Manual, QSP's, SOP's, LOP's, and relevant documentation.
  • Understanding of NOV-Tuboscope HSE regulations for staff and facilities.
  • Knowledge of NOV Tuboscope inspection services pertinent to divisional capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Tuboscope Gold, and JDE System.
  • Familiarity with the Tuboscope Safety Based Behavior Program.
  • Competent in report generation involving annual budgeting, monthly financial closing, and forecasting processes.
