Job Summary

Responsible for the maintenance of commercial landscapes

Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain job site as instructed by Foreman. Possible duties include, but are not limited to: mowing, raking, weeding, shearing, edging and hand pruning
  • Safe operation of equipment, including: 21" and 36" mowers; power hedge shears; power shears; backpack blower; aerator
  • Basic understanding of plant ID
  • Basic hand pruning skills
  • Basic skill in shearing shrubs and hedges
  • Operate all vehicles and equipment in accordance with Monarch safety policy
  • Abide by Monarch code of conduct at all times
Qualifications
Education
  • Commercial landscape experience preferred, but not required
Language Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with crew lead and other crew members
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
Reasoning Ability
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out tasks
  • Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
  • Valid driver license issued by the state where employed preferred but not required
  • Ability to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner
  • Strong commitment to high quality of work and customer service
